Startup programs are programs and processes that automatically start when your computer is turned on. This program slows down your windows booting process.
Fortunately, in this article, we are going to show you how to detect and remove apps and programs that start running immediately your computer is turned on.
One major way to spot and remove startup programs is by using tasks manager.
How To Use Task Manager To Remove Clean Start Up Programs
From a general point of view, 80 out of 100% of individuals who make use of widows 10 or the computer as a whole have limited or no knowledge about the task manager or its uses.Task manager is a computer application that helps you manage all running apps on your computer.
You can use this app to exit an app from the back end and the front end.
To launch your computer task manager, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc simultaneously and the app will pop up. Another way of launching this app is by right-clicking your win 10 start menu icon, and your task manager will appear, you click on it.
When your task manager is successfully launched, the interface at default will display some programs and softwares that are currently running on the computer. To see all apps and processes, hover your mouse around the bottom left corner of the app that says “More Details”, click on it as shown in the image below.
At this point, numerous information such as processes, performance, app history, startups, users, details, and services that are currently in use will show up as seen on the image below
To locate the list of apps, programs and processes that auto-start when your computer is turned on, click on “Start-up” as marked in the image above.
You need to be careful here, pay attention to the details below.
As shown in the picture above, in here, pay close attention to the status column. Ignore apps that are disabled; you have to focus on apps that are enabled.
To disable these apps, right-click on the app you intend to disable and chose disable, as shown in the image below.
I want you to know that the disabled app will still be in the list of startup apps, but won’t launch automatically when you power on your computer.
